Bill Bruce, of Calgary Animal Services, gave a very good lecture to a packed house in Toronto on September 30, 2011 at the   Intercontinental Hotel, Portman Room, 220 Bloor St. W., Toronto.
Rescuers, politicians and shelter managers heard how Bill turned Calgary Animal Services around and made it a place that actually helps animals, and a model for other shelters. Sponsored by ORA.

Join us to help stop the killing at HAC.  Rally on behalf of the thousands of healthy and treatable animals that are killed every year at the HAC, without being given a chance at adoption into a loving home. Be a part of a compassionate community's ongoing quest to turn a High-Kill Pound into a No-Kill Shelter. See the Rally poster for more information, then download, print it and pass it on to anyone interested. It is available in 2 versions: PDF and JPG, formats. There is also a matching handout flyer in PDF format and 2 sizes:  letter and brochure, which prints 2 per page.
